Concept
Neural Roots Triptych bridges the human nervous system and the geometry of modern cities.
Three engraved hexagons form a symbolic map of thought, growth, and shared awareness.
- Left panel — The Root of Emotion: a feminine profile merges with branching neurons and trees, illustrating empathy as organic intelligence.
- Right panel — The Root of Logic: a masculine form rendered in crystalline structure, evoking reason as architecture.
- Top panel — The City of Mind: Atlanta’s skyline and freeways intertwine with neural pathways, representing the collective consciousness of a city alive.
Together, they suggest that thought, community, and environment are one continuous circuit.
Artist Note
Every line in this piece was carved by light — laser as brush, pulse as signal.
These panels were painted black to absorb reflection, then kissed with metallic pigment to reveal pattern within darkness.
The work mirrors how our awareness forms: unseen frequencies etched beneath the surface, shaping the visible world.
Each Response becomes a mirror for the viewer — an invitation to trace their own inner circuitry and see themselves in the pattern.
Hexaverse Poem
Roots remember their light,
Cities dream in code,
Faces bloom from fiber,
Thoughts take road.
Signal through silence,
Stillness made gold.
